Your rights
A collector must send written validation of a debt within five days of first contacting you. You can dispute it in writing within 30 days, and they must stop collecting until they verify it. You can tell them to stop contacting you, and to stop contacting you at work. They may not call before 8am or after 9pm, threaten arrest, or claim to be a lawyer or a government agency when they are not. You can revoke consent to be contacted by any method, including by us. These rights are yours under the FDCPA and the FCRA whether or not you ever use Fivo. Complaints go to the CFPB at consumerfinance.gov/complaint.
